Nine Haiku

on the patio

a knobby yellow sweater

wraparound delight

scrape, nip, trim, file, push

taming all my wild parts

self-care hurts sometimes

marginalia

a snippet, doodle perhaps

writer’s compost heap

digital meet-up

man hogs all the oxygen

new app, same story

what would it be like

is a dangerous question

and an urgent one.

munching a salad

transforms fat into muscle-

love, or just control?

after closing time

people stream down the sidewalk

dandelion seeds

picking nail polish

what kind of woman am I?

lilac or sea foam?

upon first meeting:

“tell me about your startup!”

said no one ever.
